How to Navigate an EEOC Charge through Mediation

This interactive session will take an indepth look into an EEOC Charge and how mediation can be used as an ADR technique to reach an amicable agreement. Participants will review a fictitious employment discrimination case, discuss the pros and cons of each parties perspective and form groups to role-play a mediation session. The outcome of each groups activity will be discussed toward the end of the session. Participants should develop an increased awareness of Relationship Management, a SHRM behavioral competency, as it relates to successful management strategies and conflict resolution techniques.
