Honored to be part of a talented and highly engaged team, Sarah McComb is an experienced HR professional who volunteers as Membership Director for HRVA State Council. She has been a long-standing member of Charlottesville SHRM, serving in multiple roles including Chapter President during 2020-2021. For the last 18 years, Sarah has worked at the University of Virginia, and is currently a Senior HR Business Partner, enjoying the challenges and opportunities of advancing talent and business strategies for a large operations unit.

Sarah holds a Master of Science in Human Resources Management as well as the SHRM-SCP. Much of Sarah's personal time is spent with her husband, Jared, and two children, Harlan and Maisie, as well as their two dogs (Piper and Reese) and their cat (Ellie). She likes an outdoor run, watching movies and reality TV, and getting out to the area's award-winning vineyards with friends.
