Courtney J. Valladares has always had a passion for people and the overall human experience. This passion led her to pursue a master’s degree in communication studies and a career in Human Resources. Currently Courtney serves as the Human Resources Manager for the University of Virginia Foundation. In addition, she has taught at a variety of colleges over the past 18 years, including as Pepperdine University, California State University, Northridge and currently Piedmont Virginia Community College. Courtney serves on the Board of Directors for the Charlottesville SHRM chapter and currently holds a SHRM-CP certification. Courtney lives in Charlottesville with her 11-year-old son, Liam, who is her joy. She enjoys volunteering with her church, running, traveling and all things Dolly Parton.
